Hello 2010

Wow. I don't even know if I will be able to put into words how full my heart is right now.
Passion 2010 came and went...It all feels like a bit of a blur to me right now.
I didn't get to see much of any of the sessions, but one line from a song sung by Chris Tomlin keeps running through my mind right now:

And if our God is for us then who could ever stop us! If our God is with us then what can stand against!

What an awesome anthem for 22,000 college students to be carrying around in their hearts right now as they go back to the "real world". I remember as an attendee that was the hardest part for me. Going back to the real world. I learned so much and then had to go back and live it... it's not easy!

I think one of the coolest parts of a Passion Conference is Do Something Now. Do Something Now is an area set aside for students to explore ways that they can be involved in bringing justice to people all around the world who are suffering from everything from hunger, lack of water, sex trafficking, and much much more.

Are you ready to be blown away?

These 22,000 POOR college students gave $668,597.95 (and counting)..WHAT! Then a couple in the crowd matched that with another $668,597.95!!!

That is over 1 million dollars going out from the pockets of students and leaders to people all across the world who will now see the hands and feet of Jesus meet physical needs that have crippled their lives!

I don't know about you but I am pretty positive that I have never been so blown away and humbled in all of my life!

So you want to know what I've been up to and what all this #passion 2010 stuff that I've been twittering and facebooking for the past week is. It is not about the cool production elements (which were really cool by the way). OR the awesome design of the Go Center (which was completely amazing) OR the artist (even though they are all really awesome) Or Louie, Beth, Piper or Francis.

BUT it is about the Glory of God. The glory of God brought to life in students lives as they see that God is not all about them but God is all about God and in that we can have complete joy! The glory of God seen in the fact that students sacrificed more than we will ever know so that people around the world can now have $1 million to help them get out of a pit they thought they were going to die in. The Glory of God seen in the life of the student who came with a friend, clueless to what they were getting in to and are now a child of God by His grace.

That is what Passion is about. It's about Him.
There is so much more I could say, but since I tend to like to tell stories via photos I will let these tell the rest:

And at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!
